We get to most Winona Lake calls the same day we get them, since the drive is short and we already know the shoreline. Channel-front lots on the north end change how we plan a job, with seawalls, narrow side yards, and gates that need to line up with the dock.

Living and working a few minutes from Winona Lake means we deal with its DNR rules more than any other lake on this list. Like every public freshwater lake in Kosciusko County, Winona falls under Indiana Code 14-26-2, and anything inside 10 feet of the ordinary high water mark, fences and dock railing included, needs an Indiana DNR permit before installation.
We're a short drive from the DNR's Region 3 desk in Warsaw, so permit questions usually get answered in person instead of over a hold line. That local access is one of the reasons Winona Lake jobs tend to move faster than lakes farther from our shop.
